Wickum II Community Solar Garden

This 1,436-kilowatt community solar garden in Kenyon, Minnesota will produce enough energy to power over 93 average Minnesota homes. Producing this much clean energy is equivalent to planting over 875 acres of new trees. The project, and others like it, will operate for at least 25 years, bringing economic value to the communities in which they serve. Over the course of those 25 years, subscribers to this community solar garden should see total savings in excess of $1,000,000.

Community solar gardens offer a wide array of benefits, including bringing renewable energy to businesses, residents, and municipalities that have an interest but don’t have the resources to implement on-site solar.

We seed every one of our community solar gardens with a pollinator-friendly seed mix that provides a habitat for bees, butterflies, and other native species.
