120MW of solar in Minnesota and growing
New Energy Equity knows Minnesota solar. Through the cultivation of strong developer, utility and commercial relationships we’ve built 120 MW of solar across the state. That’s equivalent to an offset 110,316 metric tons of CO2.
Public and private entities have worked together to create renewable energy opportunities in Minnesota. These opportunities have created jobs and monetary benefits while reducing the state’s dependence on non-renewable energy sources. Every installation moves the state towards its renewable energy goals and we are proud to be part of this effort.
There are many ways for Minnesota businesses or landowners to participate in solar energy programs. If you’re a business, non-profit, or school you can reduce your carbon footprint and secure predictable and discounted electricity through onsite or remote solar arrays. If you are a landowner within Xcel’s service territory you can host a community solar garden and generate revenue through a land lease agreement.
Landowners – Do you currently own 6-10 acres of property within Xcel’s territory? Are you interested in converting the land into a solar garden and generating revenue through a land lease agreement? Our team can help you understand if a land lease agreement is right for you.
Interconnection – Is your property within a mile of 3-phase power? Our seasoned engineers can review your site and determine solar development viability based on several factors – proximity to 3 phase power, substation capacity, environmental viability, etc.
