Afton CSG 2

The Afton Community Solar Garden is a 1.26 MW solar project in Minnesota, completed in July 2024. It generates enough clean energy to power approximately 162 average Minnesotan homes each year.

As a community solar garden, this project delivers direct benefits to Minnesota communities, enabling local businesses, municipalities, school districts, and residents to subscribe to renewable energy and receive savings on their utility bills, with no on-site solar installation required.

Xcel Energy's Solar Rewards Community program in Minnesota provides an opportunity for subscribers to reduce their energy costs while supporting clean, locally generated power across the state.
